Take some time every day to read the bible, pray and be silent. I suggest you read the bigger "picture" the verses are part of. These short blogs are just suggestions. Feel free to react on them. Praise God.

I can see why you don't get any comments on this blog, but it must be rather distressing for you, so here's one:
Why do you choose The Da Vinci Code as a favorite book? For believers it's heretical or blasphemous drivel and for anyone else it's just drivel.
Edward,
thanks for your comment. No, it is not distressing. But it would be nice if more people react on my blog(s). I did not do any promotion yet. So, good hope it will happen one day.
I like The Da Vinci Code as I like other books with speed and action. Although the action is not that great (missed the movie) it kept my attention. And I was intrigued by the plot and the concepts brought forward. Basic concept is the the Roman Catholic church is keeping some kind of secret information behind. There have always been conspiracy theories, this is another one. Interesting to see how the Roman Catholic church reacts on this book.
I also am a member of a philosphy group. They thought I could not be a good philosopher as being a Christian. I consider this very interesting. I think that neither will be able to prove the other one wrong be means of philosophy.
In my blog I try to read the whole bible and comment on verses. They should not defend God or Christian belief. They try to show how I wonder about those words. Beacuse that is what the bible means to me. How do I react on those words. They do not say: Ike, defend me and the Chrsitian belief. By the way it could happen that I defend God but then it would my own choice.
But, what brought you to my blog if I might ask? And do you have suggestions? Please let me know as you say: "I can see why ......".
Regards
